Design Inspiration #5
I really wish that this blog had a main navigation bar. To me the blog doesn't look good without it. I really like organization and I feel that without it, the page looks really strange.
Design Inspiration #4
If i could change one thing about the layout of this blog, it would be the background color of where my words are written. I really don't think that the yellowish tan color goes well with what I am trying to convey with the blog. If i had to change it, I would just change it to a white background.

Design Inspiration #3
If i could add any font i wanted to this blog it would be a script. Because i am going for the girly aspect. I feel like a script font is one of the most girly types of font. It would be a great addition, but unfortunately, i cannot not use that kind of font so i am stuck using times. I am not saying that times is an awful font its just not one that i want to use.
Design Inspiration #2
One thing that i took in to account when designing this blog was the color. Since the blog is focused on sororities, I felt as though it needed to be girly. Hence the pink stripped background. What says girly other than pink. Its literally the girliest you can get. I found the back ground from the already predesigned ones, but it reminds me of a sweatshirt that I own.
Although the sweatshirt isn't all pink like the background, I feel as though it is a good representative. As shows how I drew a design aspect from this sweatshirt.

How to survive Thanksgiving Break.
Thanksgiving Break is finally here. Meaning we all get to go home. But we also have to leave our sisters. Sometimes by this point in the semester we need a break from them. Even though you need a break from them, you will probably still miss them within 24 hours. So here are a few tips to survive being without them for a few days.
1) SNAPCHAT! Literally blow up their snap chat. This is one of the best ways to stay connected. You get to still see their face and see all the stupid things they are doing. You will honestly probably feel like you are right there with them. Break sucks, but with this awesome social media app it makes it suck less.
2) Facetime (skype, oovoo etc). Facetime or any program like it allows you to be able to still have a conversation with them while seeing their face. Not only will you be able to see them but you will be able to see their family as well. We all know that not only do we love our sisters but we also love their families as much as we love our own.
3) Write down everything you need to tell them. So you might not be able to face time your bestie every 5 seconds. Problem solved. Write down everything important you need to tell her so that you remember after break.
Being away from your friends suck. Especially when you are together 24/7. Just remember after Thanksgiving you only have two weeks until you won't see them for a month. Use this break as a warm up to the longest month of your life.

One thing that i like about the layout of my blog is that the edges are very defined. You can see the white square which defines it. One thing that I automatically think of when I see this is a pizza box. Why a pizza box you might ask. Well the edges of a pizza box are also very defined. I also happen to be a pizza lover, so i tend to see pizza boxes a lot. If you compare the edges of posts to the edges of a pizza box they look the same, well at least to me. This pizza box also has a line the defines the edge of the box just like my blog lay out.

Senioritis
So seniors, the time has come. You are finally experiencing your lasts of every thing. Last recruitment (thank the lord), last big/little, last formal, last initiation. The list can go on and on. For someone that has been in the chapter since freshman year you've witnessed countless seniors before you go through their lasts. You've watched them sob uncontrollably for no reason.Never in your wildest dreams did you ever think that would be you. You always thought that when you were a senior you'd be ready to go. You'd be ready to say good bye to greek life. You love your chapter but though out the years you've gotten a bit tired of it. You aren't ready to say good by are you though?
You are now those seniors that are crying at everything. Thats perfectly fine. It also extremely understand able. Your chapter, the girls in it and your ritual have been apart of your life for the past 4 years. Not experiencing all of it everyday is going to be weird. You are allowed to be that crying senior. Go ahead let out a huge cry at your last initiation. You deserve it. You've experienced a lot over the years. You've put a lot of hard work in. And now you are leaving. Its normal. The younger girls will judge you, just like you judged all the girls before you. But you know what, I can bet that when they are in your shoes they will understand why you are crying. Don't feel bad for having a tear streaked face. It happens to the best of us. Just cherish these last few weeks with the girls that mean the most to you.
