The day has come when your little takes a little. You are no longer the attention of her affection and you don't know what to do anymore. Believe it or not your big felt the same way when you received your little. Trust me when i tell you this isn't the end of the world. Having a grand little is probably more special than having a little. The bond that you have with your grand little will still be special but a little different. Knowing that she isn't yours but still in your family is wonderful. You can still spoil her, but you don't always have to deal with the 2 am phone calls with her crying about the boy that broke her heart. Thats what her big is for. You are just there to make everything better. To be there when she wants to go out to eat. Or just get away from the drama of dealing with sorority life. You are her outlet because you've been around for a few years. Its honestly the best.
Your relationship with your little will grow as well. Whether or not you already have a great relationship with her it will grow. Your little has always looked up to you, but now you have experience that she has never had. You've been a big before. You know how to deal with a crying 19 year old at 2 in the morning. You also know how it is when you feel like your little doesn't like you. You will be her confidant. The one she goes to about everything concerning her little. Don't look at becoming a grand big negatively. Look at it as a wonderful new experience with a brand new adorable addition to spoil with love.
